Sites,
besides this one, that you should give a look-see. The common theme
being that they are all run by folk I know and like:
Angry
Naked Pat: A wealth of online-funny. The improbably compelling
adventures of one nude man, his wacky cast o' characters, and their
journeys lampooning pop-culture, nerd-culture, and just about anything
else.
Randomdrivel.com:
If you are ANYTHING like me, your email-mailbox is constantly full
of forwarded links sent by friends. Links to the bizzare corners of
the web, or info on the latest bit of Star Wars news, or to keen tech-tricks,
or whatever. Randomdrivel is a constantly updated database of these
sort of things, all compiled into one cool web site. Check it out.
Film-411:
A fun, homespun site by movie-lovers, for movie lovers. It boasts
some pretty well-written reviews, but more importantly, an online
community of folk who are obsessively into movies, and who are pretty
responsive to debate.
Joe
The Circle: One of the proto web cartoons(it was around when THE
SPOT was all the web rage), this poorly drawn (Sorry, Mike) opus is
oftentimes gut-bustingly hilarious, and insanley addictive. The archives
alone will keep you occupied for days and days.
Alen
Yen.com : I had the very good fortune to be Alen Yen's bitter
arch nemesis for a time, and his friend for a time after that. He's
one of the more inspired and talented people I've ever been privileged
enough to meet, and I think the world of him. Check out his site,
and see why.
Chris
Kaye.com: There **may** be cooler people than Chris Kaye, out
in the world, somewhere. All I know is that I have not met them.
Mike
Shapiro:Music For Film: Are you a free wheeling movie mogul, in
search of young and amazing talent to score your film? Do yourself
a favor, check out this site, and listen to the samples of Mike's
work. I want a finder's fee.
